Welcome back, I say it’s so good to have you. The album, it’s a disappearing art in the music industry of itunes and singles, but the album, how did you want it to be different from your others?

Well, you know, our last couple of records, we were pretty serious in the subjects of matter, we definitely made a conscious effort to make much more of a kind of roll down your windows type of record. And also till you know, we just got offer first arena1 and amputate a torso, we need some anthem2, some big fun song. So our first single Downtown is one that’s really loose and different for us. And so it’s a nice change for our fans, I think.
Hilary I wanna ask you about Downtown, cause here we, people magazine call it and I do quote, a slinky, sexy, fun, crazy, catchy3, downright, soulful preview of album, sound about right to you?
You know what, it is such a fun song and it absolutely like Charles was saying, just having that energy and that sess. There’s a whole new sass to this record and especially in this song that I would, they would find. And it’s fun to perform, it’s awesome4.
And yet, we just heard Golden. It does maybe down back, and it certainly applies and has special residents for here, for us today and tomorrow with Robin5 returns. Why Golden, what were you looking to do with that song?
Golden was the last song we wrote for this record, and it reminded us that moment when the three of us met and wrote our very first song, kind of that golden moment back in time and so we wanted to kind of catch that memory in that song and you know, it kind of fits for us, there’s a very special time in all of our lives, Hilary has a baby on the way and there’s a lot special moments happening, it’s terrific6.
Well, we have a young and coming back to us, she’s only six months old, Robin, that was for you, and you’re back with us May 7th, can’t wait for your guys again, that’s David Album Drops, Lady A, everybody, thanks, guys.
