A man who killed a 3-year-old girl over a parking dispute in Beijing has lost his appeal against his death sentence. Han Lei was convicted of intentional1 homicide for killing2 the toddler in July.
The Beijing Higher People's Court rejected Han's appeal, upholding the original judgement from September 25th. The 39-year-old was arrested in July, after fleeing the murder scene. He'd been arguing with the child's mother over a parking space in Beijing's Daxing district. He grabbed the toddler, lifting her over his head and slamming her to the ground. The girl was severely3 injured and underwent intense treatment, but died days later.
