But seeing the scale here, you begin to understand how
daunting3 a task that will be, it's a task that could take mouths, maybe year to rebuild.
When severe weather hit the American mid-west on Sunday, an included reports of 76
tornadoes5. The town of Washington Illinois took a direct hit. As many as 400 homes in Washington were destroyed or
severely6 damaged. The mayor summed up simply,
devastation7, sadness, people that lost everything. Now those people have to find a way to move forward.
I hit by some
debrief8 or something cut my eye in three places. His wife and children survived two, but this is what happened to their house-gone, even they can
barely9 recognize it.

It wasn't until after the tornado hit the C's family in the basement, the day after, they look for keepsakes.
