Italy's president has called for a new government to be formed following the collapse⁸ of the country's ruling coalition. Five ministers aligned⁹ with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi have resigned, blaming differences on economic policy. The crisis could hamper¹⁰ efforts to enact¹¹ reforms to tackle Italy's economic problems.
