In Thailand, a protest leader has been shot dead during clashes with government supporters in the capital Bangkok. The violence erupted when anti-government protesters surrounded the polling stations. Now they are trying to block early voting ahead of next week's scheduled general election.

opposition1 groups have rejected the latest moves to end weeks of unrest in the Ukraine. President Viktor Yanukovych has offered the job of prime minister to one of the opposition leaders. The protesters say they'll continue to push for fresh elections.
