A funeral will be held today for 11-year-old Luke Batty who was killed by his father at a cricket ground near Melbourne last week. Greg Anderson brutally6 murdered his son before being fatally shot by police at Tyabb. The attack shocked the community and put the national spotlight7 on domestic violence.
 
Former News of the World editor Rebekah Brooks8 has denied knowing about phone hacking9 during her time of the now defunct(失效的，不存在的） newspaper. Ms. Brooks began giving evidence at her trial in London. Earlier, she was formally cleared of one of the five charges against her.
 
Up and coming  AFL player Marley Williams is facing a possible jail sentence after being found guilty of grievous bodily harm in Western Australia. The Collingwood player admitted to punching a man outside a nightclub in Albany in the state's south in December, 2012. Williams argued that the act was in self-defence.
