The President is ordering the Pentagon to plan for a full withdrawl of U.S. troops from Afghanistan by year's end. The order comes amid a strained relationship with Afghan president Hamid Karzai who has refused 

 

to sign an agreement to keep U.S. forces on the ground beyond 2014.

 

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer¹ has until Saturday to sign or veto a controversial gay rights law. Last week, the state legislature passed a bill that would allow businesses to deny serivice to homosexuals based on 

 

religious convictions.

 

And a California couple strikes it rich after finding a cache of rare gold coins--more than 1,400 of them buried under a tree in their back yard. They are valued at 10 million dollars.
