 A versus1 B, both great.But your brain maybe processing the musical information differently for each. That's according to a research in the journal Neuron Image. For the study, volunteers had their brain scanned by functional2 MRI. And they listened 2 musical medleys3 containing songs from different genres4. The scans identified brain regions that became active during listening. One  medley included 4 instrumental pieces, and the other consists of songs from beside of Abbey Road. Computers algorithm were used to identify specific aspects of the music, which the researchers were able to match with specific activated5 brain areas. The researchers found that vocal6 and  instrumental music get treated differently. Well, both hemispheres of the brain deals with musical  features, the presence of lyrics7, shifts the  processing of musical features to the left auditory cortex. These results suggests that the brain's hemispheres are specialized8 for different kinds of song processing. A finding revealed by what you might call instrumental analysis.
