 　　LONDON, April 26 (Xinhua) -- A British helicopter crashed Saturday in southern Afghanistan, the British Ministry1 of Defense2 (MoD) said Saturday.

　　"The incident is under investigation3 and it would be inappropriate to comment further until families have been notified," the MoD said in a statement.
　　The MoD said that concerned family members can contact the ministry's Joint4 Casualty and Compassionate5 Centre on 0845 7 800 900.
　　Five service personnel have been killed in the crash, local media reported, citing MoD sources.
　　The MoD did not provide details of the nationalities of those killed.
