China has urged an immediate1 ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, calling for a truce2 deal that is acceptable for all parties. Wu Sike, China’s special envoy3 to the Middle East also said China supports Palestinians uniting to solve the current issue.

Wu also told a CCTV's reporter that he believes a thorough solution to the conflict in the Gaza strip is the foundation of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty. Wu Sike is on his visit to Egypt and Qatar to broker6 peace for the Gaza district.
