President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron declared their nations would not be intimidated² by the Islamic State group. They’ve recently beheaded two American journalists. 

 

3. The Justice Department launched an investigation³ into the practices of the Ferguson police department. The move follows the fatal shooting of Michael Brown last month. Attorney General Eric Holder⁴ announced the probe Thursday.

 

4. And Comedienne, Joan Rivers has died. She was 81 years old. Rivers’ daughter, Melissa says the acid-tongued comedienne died at Mount Sinai hospital in New York, surrounded by family and close friends.
