Activity in the construction
sector2 declined so sharply in November that's now in
contraction3.The index compiled by the Australia industry group and the housing industry association adds it drop 8 points to the level of 45.4,so anything below the level of 50 indicates the sector is shrinking.The report says the decline is driven by a whole activity and new orders across all areas of the construction including housing and apartments.
