 In finance news today, Twitter has reported lower than expected revenue for the first three months of the year, saying that new product sold less well than forecast. The micro-blogging firm warned that it expects the negative impact on its revenue to continue for the rest of the financial year. The firm reported revenues of 436 million dollars up 74% year on year, but still below forecast. 

 
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said the country is in the final critical stretch of talks with its international creditors1, and that he believes the interim2 deal will be in place by May 9th.         Greece has been seeking to renegotiate the terms of its 2040 billion euro bailout from the International Monetary3 Fund and the European Union. Prime Minister Tsipras said the objective was to find an agreement this week or next week at the latest and admitted mistakes had been made in talks with EU partners so far. Greece has estimates certain economic reforms before the EU hands over the 7.2 billion Euros which the government needs to pay its bills.
 
To the global financial markets, and US share markets were mixed overnight. The Dow Jones rose by 72 points. The S&P 500 grows by 0.3% while the Nasdaq lost 5 points. In London, the FTSE ended the day sharply lower, falling 1% following weak consumer confidence and disappointing corp. results. Checking commodity prices, West Texas Crude is trading at 57 US dollars a barrel. Tapis Crude is trading at 66 US dollars a barrel. And gold is trading at 1212 US dollars an ounce. The Australian dollar is buying 80 US cents, 73 euro cents, and 52 pence sterling4.
