The South African athlete is due for release in August. Pistorius was found guilty of culpable8 homicide (an act which has resulted in a person's death but is held not to amount to murder) last year and sentenced to five years in jail. 
 
 
G7 leaders have wrapped up their two-day summit with a pledge to phase out fossil fuels by the end of the century. In the joint9 communique at the end of talks in Germany, they announced their commitment to de-carbonize the global economy.
