 Leading the news, Greeks opposed to Europe’s bailout offer have been celebrating overnight. The latest figures show 61% of Greeks have voted “no” in that referendum. Greek Opposition1 leader Antonis Samaras has announced his resignation following the vote, and the European Commission says it respects the result of the referendum.

Tony Abbott and Bill Shorten will meet Indigenous3 leaders today to discuss a referendum on recognizing aboriginal4 and Torres Strait Island people in the constitution. Forty people are expected to attend the bi-part in the summit. A new opinion poll has found 85% of Australians are in favor of the constitutional change.
 
“We make sure that we are providing the right future for us. I’m going forward for our children, for our grandchildren and this is for all Australians. This is for the benefit for all Australians that we set these things right in our national founding document.”
 
Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has cancelled an appearance on tonight’s Q&A program on the orders of prime minister. A spokesman for Mr. Joyce says he made the decision after Tony Abbott declared no frontbencher was to go on the show.
 
And the latest division to the British royal family, Prince Charlotte has been christened. Crowds gathered outside the St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk to catch glimpse of the tiny royal. It’s the first time, the princess has been seen in public with her big brother Prince George and of course, her parents William and Kate.
