1985In Brazil, authorities exhume2 a body later identified as remains3 of Josef Mengele, the fugitive4 Nazi5 doctor. Known as the Angel of Death, Mengele performed cruel medical experiments on inmates6 of the Auschwitz concentration camp during the Holocaust7.
And 1933The first drive-in movie theatre opens in Camden, New Jersey8. Drive-ins become a pop culture sensation across the United States in the first few decades after WWII.
