FBI director James Comey says Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, the two San Bernardino shooters, were radicalized as early as 2013. He described them as home-grown extremists to lawmakers on Capitol Hill, and saids they discussed jihad as well as martyrdom.

Time magzine has named Germany Chancellor2 Angela Merkelas as its person of the year. The magzine praised Merkel for everying from her handling of Syrian refugees to the Greek debt crisis.
