A 200-year-old sea turtle was set free by frontier police in the city of Dongfang in south China's Hainan Province.

The 110-centimeter-long, 96 centimeter wide sea turtle weighed 60 kilograms. It was caught by fishermen by mistake during a fishing trip. The fisherman called police as the green sea turtle is under State Protection in China. Officials said the sea animal is in good health and is estimated to be 200 years old.
