A truck suspected of carrying flammables and explosives caught fire while travelling on an expressway in Central China's Hunan Province.

The truck then exploded, killing 5 people and injuring 20 others. Four of the injured are in critical condition. The explosion caused tremors across a one kilometer area. Two cars and trucks also caught fire, and 7 other vehicles were damaged.  Clean up operations and an investigation are now underway.
