1.  More than 80,000 people have been told to evacuate¹ as a massive wildfire burns out of control east of Los Angles. The fire has already scorched² more than two dozens square miles and destroyed at least 12 buildings, some of them homes.

4. Flood waters in Southern Louisiana are moving downstream and forcing more people from their homes. More than 30,000 people have been rescued from the floods since Friday.
