But now, in the late 1990s, the poet Jang Jin-sung worked at the highest level of North Korean propaganda. His job under the Supreme¹ Leader Kim Jong-il was to promote the benefits of the country's own communist system. He had many privileges, but secretly, he was composing highly critical poems which, if discovered, would've led to him being sent to prison. Jang Jin-sung eventually fled his homeland, and recently published a memoir² called Dear Leader

译文：

在20世纪90年代后期，诗人张进成曾工作于朝鲜最高级别的宣传部。他在最高领导人金正日手下工作，宣传推广国内的共产主义制度的益处。他拥有很多特权，但是暗地里他创作着高度批判（现实）的诗。一旦暴露，他就会被送进监狱。最终，张进成逃离自己的祖国，并在最近出版了一部叫做《亲爱的领袖》的回忆录。
