模仿文本：Now they aren't the sort of sanctions likely to bring a country to its knees, but the measures the US and European Union have put in place against Russia over the past 24 hours certainly signal the West's disapproval¹ of Moscow's activities in Crimea. The EU has suspended talks with Russia on a wide-ranging economic pact² and on the deal under which Russians would have been able to travel in the EU without a visa.

尽管目前美国和欧盟对俄罗斯的制裁不至于彻底击垮俄罗斯，但一天以来实行的这些措施表明了西方国家对于俄罗斯在克里米亚的行为持反对意见。欧盟已经中止原定与俄罗斯关于一系列经济协定的谈话，并且暂停讨论授权俄罗斯人在欧盟国家内来往免签的事项。
