But first, in May this year, 27-year-old Raha Moharrak became the first Saudi woman and the youngest Arab to reach the summit of Everest. She comes from a society where women aren't allow to drive and need the permission of a male guardian¹ for many activities. But she's highly independent, sporty and as you'll hear, isn't going to let anything get in her way.

首先，今年五月，27岁的瑞哈·穆哈瑞克成为首位登顶珠峰的沙特女性，她也是成功攻顶的阿拉伯人中最年轻的一位。在她的社会，女性不能开车，做很多事都先得征求男性监护人的许可。但她极其独立，爱好运动，并如你将听到的一样，绝不会让任何事情拦住她的步伐。我问瑞哈，她最初对登山感兴趣是在什么时候。
