1.  Authorities say several people were killed and others were wounded after a lone1 gunman opened fire at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Florida international airport. The gunman is in custody2 but authorities gave no details on the possible motive3 for the shooting at Terminal Two. 

2. Congress tallied4 the Electoral College Votes Friday and Donald Trump5 is officially elected president with Mike Pence elected vice6 president. Trump finished with 304 votes and democrat7 Hillary Clinton got 227. They were 7 protest votes for other candidates. 

3. An approaching storm is posing a significant threat to the southeast. The storm bringing the possibility of snow, sleet8 and freezing rain that promises to make life tough for motorists and weekend travellers. Winter storm warnings are in effect in parts of Alabama and Georgia, and into the Carolina and parts of Virginia. 

4. And First Lady Michelle Obama held her last formal event at White House on Friday. Mrs Obama got emotional as she told crowds she to lead by example with hope "Never Fear". The event honored the 2017 national school counselor9 of the year and state counselors10 of the year.
