2. CIA director John Brennan said in an interview that Trump didn't understand the threats posted by Russia. Trump on Twitter responded by questioning whether Brennan was the leaker of fake news. 

3. A cargo4 plane crashed in the central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan. Officials say the Turkish airline Boeing-747 hit a residential5 area, just outside the main airport, killing6 more than two dozens people onboard and on the ground. 

4. Severe storms, including at least one confirmed tornado7 struck parts of Texas on Thursday. Power outages were reported in several areas.
