(有艺术天分的Lena参加了一个素描班，认识了班上的人体模特Leo，两人一起在家做晚饭，Leo的厨艺让Lena大为惊叹。）

Lena: So how can I help?

Leo: Can you throw a couple of onions in there?

Lena: Yeah.

Leo: So, what your folks think about you in an art school?

Lena: Well, I think they probably wish I was still going just on Saturdays after school, but...uh...they just want what’s best for me.  他们毕竟是为了我好

Leo: What’s that? Two-car garage, house in the suburbs²? 

Lena: Yeah, I mean, they’ve worked so hard for what they have...and it makes me feel guilty for not wanting the same thing.

Leo: It doesn’t make you ungrateful. Just for wanting to find out for yourself.       

Lena: Wow, everything looks so beautiful. You cook with so many colors！

Leo: Only another artist would even notice that.  只有另一个艺术家才会注意到

Lena: Can I taste something?

Leo: Yeah. Okay, let’s try this. You like mushrooms?

Lena: [尝了一口]Yeah. Looks good. Umm.. Wow...

Leo: It’s good?

Lena: That’s so good. You have to give me the recipe.   

Leo: Recipe? No, no recipe.

Lena: You don’t use recipes.

Leo: No recipes. It’s like painting inside the lines, you know? I mean, the downside is that you never know anything is gonna turn out, but it’s kind of the upside.

Lena: Okay, so how can I help?

Leo: Yeah, try the saffron. [开玩笑]Just try not to knock anything over tonight. All right?  

Lena: [笑] Yeah. Yeah.
