Andrew Puzder, President Donald Trump1's pick to lead the Department of Labor2, has withdrawn3 his name from consideration. Democrats4 strongly opposed the pick. Some Republicans raised concerns about Puzder's failure to pay taxes on a former housekeeper5 who wasn't authorized6 to work in the U.S.

President Trump is urging Israel to hold back on building Jewish settlements. He welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House and said peace between Israel and the Palestinians doesn't have to include a two-state solution.
