France's election campaign commission is reacting to a hacking¹ attack, with less than 24 hours to go before the final round of the presidential election. The commission says a significant amount of data from the campaign of centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron was leaked on social networks.

In Tanzania, at least 35 people were killed, most of them young children, after a bus carrying students lost control and crashed. Police said the bus had been carrying the students from a primary school in the north of the country for an examination before it skidded² off the road.
