2. Authorities in Massachusetts are investigating the apparent suicide of convicted murder of former New England Patriots2 Star Aaron Hernandez, who reportedly hanged over himself in the prison cell overnight. His death cast cloud over the Patriot's visit to the White House to celebrate their recent Super Bowl victory. A handful  of players opposed to president Trump3 also boycotted4 the event. 

3. Congressman5 Jason Chaffetz, key republican who chairs the house oversight6 committee says he will not run for reelection in 2018. 

4. At least 11 people are dead after landslides7 triggered by heavy winds, struck a mountainous region in Columbia. The tragedy comes less than three weeks after several rivers overflew near Colombia's southern border, leaving more than 300 people dead.
