语法讲解

今天的早读，包含了两个主语从句。在第一个who引导的主语从句中，who在从句中做were后面的表语。在第二个what引导的主语从句中，what做do后面的宾语。我们知道，在名词性从句中，缺主语，宾语，表语的情况下，指代人，我们通常用who,其他用what.在这里，大家注意到谓语动词是单数is。首先，从句做主语的主谓一致问题通常两种情况：第一，what引导的主语从句做主语时，谓语的数由后面的表语或者宾语来决定。例如：What he gave me are five English books.第二，其他词引导的主语从句，谓语动词用单数。在这句话中，两个名词性从句中没有and连接，他们应该是在共用谓语，所有谓语动词用了is.

注意：

1.当同一个主语从句是由两个不同的引导词引导时，如果它表达的还是同一件事，谓语动词一般用单数。eg:When and where we should hold the meeting has not been decided² yet

2.当主语是由两个由and连接的主语从句组成，表示的是两件不同的事情，主句谓语动词需用复数形式.

eg. What caused the accident and who was responsible for it remain a mystery to us.
