In his first televised comments since the decision, Sharif said he was removed by the Sumpreme Court on Friday over baseless allegations.

In London, protesters angry over the death of a young black man following a police chase clashed with riot police overnight, throwing bottles and setting trash on fire. 20-year-old Rashan Charles died in a hospital last week after he was pursued and apprehended5 by an officer. Authorities are investigating the event.

In Taiwan, preparations were underway on Saturday as typhoon Nesat threatens the XXX's eastern coast. Big waves were seen lashing6 the shore of nearby Yilan port city where fisherman tightened7 their boats and waited for the typhoon to strike shore.
