The Chinese Defense1 Ministry2 has issued a formal response to this past weekend's incursion into this country's Air Defense Identification Zone.

The Defense Ministry says the fly-over by a pair of Japanese planes is dangerous and provocative3.

The South Korean Defense Ministry is refuting reports that its planning to deploy6 a US-produced missile defense system.

Instead, the South Korean side says its working on creating its own missile defense perimeter7.

The comments come following reports the South Korean government was preparing to deploy a missile defense system designed by Lockheed Martin.

Reports of this prompted concern from the Chinese government.
