Investigators¹ south of Seattle say the Amtrak train that derailed Monday was going 80 mile per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. Three people have died in the wreck² and dozens of others were hospitalized.

The Trump³ administration is publicly blaming North Korea for a ransomware attack that infected hundreds of thousands of computers back in May. A homeland security advisor⁴ says North Korea will be held accountable for the "wannacry" attack.

Minneapolis authority say police shot and wounded a man inside city hall after he pulled a weapon and tried to hurt himself. The shooting happened in a police investigation⁵ interview room.

And California fire officials say the massive wildfire northwest of Los Angeles is now fifty percent contained. The flames have burned well over 400 square miles in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
