English actor Orlando Bloom has recently been in Beijing promoting his upcoming action-packed thriller1 film 'Smart Chase' in which he co-stars with a Chinese cast.

Orlando Bloom, who rose to fame following his portrayal2 as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, said he's excited about being part of the cast.

"We endeavor to make a film which I think is a Chinese movie but with a very sort of westernized feel and story to it, not only myself. But it's a very interesting blend, which I think it's unusual for the film market here today and I'm excited for audiences to see it.”

"Smart Chase" centers on a washed-up private security agent who gets ambushed3 as he attempts to escort a pricey Chinese antique out of Shanghai.

The film, starring Wu Lei, Simon Yam, Hannah Quinlivan, and Lynn Hung, has been set for a global release on September 30.
