President Trump1 is promising2 action following last week school shooting in Florida. He included arming teachers as a possibility. The president mostly listened during a meeting with students and parents at the White House.

Crews with boats rescued more people from their homes in northern Indiana on Wednesday. Heavy rainfall and melting snow are blamed for widescale flooding in the area.

And the US women's Olympic hockey team won its first gold medal in 20 years. The team needed a tie-breaking shootout to beat Canada, 3-2.
