四兄弟(The Brothers Four)是美国60年代著名的合声四重唱演唱组，他们演绎的民谣舒缓、清新，纯净如山溪，温柔若春水。他们的歌曲很受青年男女尤其是大学生们的喜爱。

    四兄弟原来是五十年代华盛顿大学的学生，关于这个组合的产生，流传着这样一个有趣的故事：当他们四人在华盛顿大学相遇之后，他们只是经常聚在一起唱歌为乐， “四兄弟”这个名字尚未产生。一天，他们接到了一个电话，改变了他们的一生。电话里说：“我是某某俱乐部的经理秘书，我们经理听过你们的歌，不知道你们可不可以到我们这里来演唱？” 当然可以！他们几个拿上吉他就去来到了这个俱乐部，但是这个电话只是他们一个朋友的玩笑，经理很抱歉让他们跑了一趟，于是坐下来听他们唱了一曲。想不到经理看出了他们的才华，于是将他们留下来，四兄弟演唱组从此产生了。

    四兄弟合唱组历经了四十年风雨沧桑，至今依然在活跃舞台上，算得上是个乐坛奇迹了。从60年代以来，他们举办过数千场大学音乐会；在白宫先后为四位总统演唱过；还曾去数十个国家参加过访问演出，可以称得上是“美国的音乐大使”。
