　　Make sweet some vial; treasure thou some place With beauty's treasure ere it be self-killed. 让那净瓶流香吧，快趁你美的精华未自戕之际，把它们投放进某一个处所，

　　That use is not forbidden usury³ 这样的投放，并不是非法放债，

　　Which happies those that pay the willing loan; 它会使借债付息者们打心底里快活。

　　That's for thyself to breed another thee, 这就是说你须得为自己生出另一个人，

　　Or ten times happier be it ten for one. 倘若能生十个，则会有十倍的快活。

　　Ten times thyself were happier than thou art,  假如你有十个孩子重现你十副肖像，

　　If ten of thine ten times refigured thee: 你现在的幸福就被十倍超过。

　　Then what could death do if thou shouldst depart, 这样一来，你便活在你自己的后代身上，

　　Leaving thee living in posterity⁴? 在你弥留之际，纵是死神也莫奈你何！

　　Be not self-willed, for thou art much too fair, 别太固执了，你是如此绝色无匹，

　　To be death's conquest and make worms thine heir. 岂能让死神掳去，让蛆虫继承芳姿。
