（单词翻译）

 一个英语单词可分为三部分：前缀（prefix）词根（root）后缀（suffix）。位于词根前面的部分就是前缀。前缀，可以改变单词的意思。

carb-, carbo- 表示“碳”
carbon = carb + on → n. 碳
carbohydrate1 = carbo + hydr（水）+ ate → n. 碳水化合物
co-（在元音词根之前）, col-（在同辅音词根前）表示“共同”
cooperate = co + oper（工作）+ ate → 共同工作 → v. 合作
collaborate2 = col + labor（劳动，工作）+ ate → 一起工作 → v. 合作
collapse3 = col + laps（滑倒）+ e →一起滑倒 → v. 崩溃
collect = col + lect（选择；select）→ 选择后放在一起 → v. 收集
com-, con4-, cor-表示“共同”
comparison = com + par（平等）+ ison → 平等的放在一起 → n. 比较
compassion5 = com + passion（感情）→ 共同的情感 → n. 同情
compose = com + pos（放，置；position位置）+ e → 放在一起 →vt. 组成；使平静
