2018年CRI BRICS countries strengthen children theatres' exchanges in Beijing

Twelve children's dramas from the BRICS countries will be staged in Beijing during the ongoing¹ China Children's Theater Festival, which is scheduled to run until late August.

This is the first series of activities since the launch of a union of teen and children's theatres among Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in July last year.

The China National Theatre for Children is about to stage a children's play adapted from an old fable⁵ called "The Snipe Clam⁶ Grapple".

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and South Africa. Also, South Africa is hosting the 2018 BRICS summit in Johannesburg this year.
