This story tells about a game which may seem queer to you, 这个故事讲述的是一个游戏，你可能觉得奇怪，

but the Chinese boys and girls who played it thought it was great fun. 但玩这个游戏的中国男孩女孩认为它很有趣。

THE BIG RAIN 大雨

"Oh, little Ting Fang, it’s cold today!" said a Chinese mother as she stood in the door of her poor little house and shivered. “哦，小方廷，今天很冷!”一位中国母亲站在破旧的小房子门口颤抖着说道。

Her son, Ting Fang, stood beside her and looked out into the narrow path between his house and the other houses in Ricksha Man Alley². 她的儿子方廷站在身边，目光打在了黄包车人胡同里一条狭窄小路，两边是自家房子和其他房子。
