　　We're all liars². What I'm going to do today is I'm going to show you what the research says about why we're all liars,  我们都是骗子。今天我要讲的一项研究，我们为什么是骗子，

　　how you can become a liespotter and why you might want to go the extra mile and go from liespotting to truth seeking, and ultimately³ to trust building. 如何识别谎言以及为什么要大费周折从识别谎言走向寻求真相，最终走到信任的建立。

　　Now, speaking of trust, ever since I wrote this book, "Liespotting," no one wants to meet me in person anymore, no, no, no, no, no.  说到信任，自从我写了《识破谎言》之后，谁都不愿意再和我面对面打交道了，没门。

　　They say, "It's okay, we'll email you." 大家都说：“没关系，我们会给你发邮件的。”

　　I can't even get a coffee date at Starbucks.  我甚至约不到人去星巴克喝咖啡。

　　My husband's like, "Honey, deception⁴? Maybe you could have focused on cooking. How about French cooking?" 我先生说：“亲爱的，测谎？你还是把心思花在烹饪上吧。学做法国菜，怎么样？”
