Texas Republican Senator Ted4 Cruz was reelected in one of the most closely-watched races. He held off a stiff challenge from Democrat1 Beto O'rourke.

Republican Ron Desantis beat Democrat Andrew Gillum in the race for Florida governor. Florida Senate race went through the night too close to call.

The race for Georgia governor went into the morning without a winner. Republican Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams both said there are still votes to be counted.
