This is much easier at the moment than trying to drag myself across this just walking on skis. 这样比光靠雪橇 自己慢慢走到对岸 要轻松得了

When the sun drops, temperatures can plummet¹ to minus-50. 当太阳下山后  温度会骤降到零下五十度

And out here, just surviving the night is an achievement.Back into the snow coffin². 在这种地方  能挨过晚上就算厉害了 又回到雪棺里了

I'm deep inside the arctic circle, halfway³ across a frozen lake. 我现在位于北极圈深处的一个冻湖中央

Soon the sun will drop, and with it, the temperature. 太阳很快就要下山  温度也将随之骤降

I'm using my parachute like a kite to pull me along.It was a long shot, but it seems to be working. 我把降落伞当风筝用  借风力拉我过河 这方法不怎么靠谱  但目前效果不错

Good survival is actually about thinking smart, 优秀野外求生者就要敢想

being ingenious, coming up with clever ways to use nature and not fight it. 就要打破常规  聪明地捣鼓出利用自然 而不是与自然抗争的办法以自保

That's how people really survive. 逆境生存下来的人就是这么做的
