（单词翻译）

 一个英语单词可分为三部分：前缀（prefix）词根（root）后缀（suffix）。位于词根前面的部分就是前缀。前缀，可以改变单词的意思。

 

–ing: 
1）构成动词的现在分词（略）

2）用于名词
—beginning n.开始，开端；起源 begin（开始，作动词）+n+ing→开始，开端；起源
being n.存在；生物；生命 be（存在，动词）+ing→存在；生物；生命
bearing n.支承；忍受；方位 bear（忍受，作动词）→支承；忍受；方位
fitting n.配合 fit（适合、配合）+t+ing→配合–ing:

3）用于形容词—
corresponding a.通信的、回应的 cor（强调）+re（再一次）+spond（回应）+ing→一次次通信、回应的→通信的、回应的
exciting a.令人兴奋的 excit（兴奋）+ing→令人兴奋的
fitting a.适当的、适合的 fit（适合）+t+ing→适当的、适合的
forthcoming a.即将到来的；forth（前面）+com（来）+ing→即将到来的；

–hood: （用于名词）…状态，…时期—
childhood n.童年，幼年；早期 child（儿童）+hoold→儿童的时期→童年
neighborhood n.邻居关系；邻近 neighbor（邻居）+hood→邻居关系
likelihood n.可能(性) likeli（可能的）+hood→可能性
