Protesters are gathering1 in France ahead of this weekend's G7 Summit. More than 13,000 police are guarding the meeting, which President Trump2 and other world leaders are set to attend.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has released a new 16-trillion-dollar climate plan. It calls for the United States to move to renewable energy across the economy by 2050.

Sacramento, California authorities say more than 2 dozen people were hurt in light rail accident. Most of the injuries were minor3. There was no immediate4 report of what caused the accident.

And more than 4,000 people in Northern California were told to evacuate5 their homes due to a wildfire. The flames began Thursday about 200 miles north of San Francisco.
