North Korea and the United States have agreed to resume nuclear negotiations¹ this weekend, followed a months-long stalemate over the withdrawal² of sanctions in exchange for disarmament.

Nuclear negotiations have been at a standstill for months following a February summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump³.

An arch bridge over a bay in eastern TaiWan has collapsed⁴, sending the span and an oil tanker⁵ truck falling onto boats in the water below. At least 11 people are feared trapped or missing.

And Jimmy Carter is celebrating his 95th birthday, the first U.S. President in history to reach that milestone⁶.
