A 16-year-old boy has died in hospital after being stabbed at a house party in Sydney's north-west. Officers say a fight involving several young people broke out at a property at Ryde around midnight. Seven people were taken hospital with stab wounds. A crime scene has been established but so far no arrests.

And in the NRL, the Melbourne Storm has leapfrogged Cronulla to the top of the National Rugby League table. The Storm snatched a golden point win against Souths winning 15-points to 14 in extra time.
