An Australian soldier seen shooting an unarmed Afghan man in vision aired on this week's Four Corners has been suspended from duty. Dad Mohammed was shot and killed at close range by an Australian Special Air Service Regiment⁴ soldier in 2012 in Afghanistan. A defence investigation⁵ found the SAS soldier acted in self defence. The department of defence says the revelations are "serious and disturbing". The defence minister has now referred to the matter to the Australian federal police commissioner⁶.
