one… the other,the one… the other

这一对词组都用于指两样事物的场合，但涵义有所不同。

One…the other是“一个…另一个…”； the one…the other是“前者…后者…”，相当于the former…the latter。

试对比它们在下例的不同内涵和使用场合：

I have two sisters； one is twenty and the other is eighteen．

我有两个妹妹，一个是二十岁，另一个是十八岁。
