2005年5月25号，在全美3000万收视人次的见证下，来自奥克拉荷马州的Muskogee郡的女孩凯莉安德伍(Carrie Underwood)成了热门歌唱竞赛节目“美国偶像”第4季的冠军。  

　　凯莉安德伍的歌声兼具了流行摇滚的率真性格以及乡村音乐的醇美气质，在她那挥洒自如的歌声演唱下，每一首歌曲的情感都能得到恰如其分的解读。2005年6月起，凯莉安德伍的歌唱实力开始发光发热，她加盟Arista厂牌的首支单曲"Inside Your Heaven"在发行首周就以超过17万张的销售，毫不客气的要天后玛丽亚凯莉冠军曲"We Belong Together"让出一个礼拜的冠军后座，这首单曲的夺冠更让她成为首位以出道首支单曲就称霸热门单曲榜冠军的乡村歌手。
